Version 0.3 is live!

Good time zone to you all!

I'm happy to announce that Blades of the Immortals v0.3 is live and ready for use at your table. A full changelog can be found in the PDF, but the big-ticket item this time is the Setting chapter and the setting creation process. It's been my vision since the beginning that Blades of the Immortals would give every group the tools to create their own bespoke, detailed fantasy setting, tailored to tell the kinds of stories that your group is most excited about, and with this update, we take a big step towards that vision becoming reality. The setting-creation process will allow the group to collaboratively set up an exciting starting situation that will kick the game off with a bang and immediately put your cultivators in the hot seat. The setting chapter also includes guidance on how to create your own cultivation system, adjusting power level, pace of advancement, and tone to implement your group's creative vision. It also includes two example cultivation systems and a number of rules widgets and system concepts that you could easily slot into your own game.

Also in this update, I added a bunch more example faction claims and some example panoply items that I think are pretty sweet - I added a whole section in the appendix for example Heaven-Defying Chances, even. It's only got one entry in it right now, the Heaven-Splitting Devil Star Canon, but it's a big one.

With v0.3 launched, I'll be spending some time iterating on the setting chapter and the GM advice chapter over what I anticipate will be a number of smaller v0.3.X updates, as well as continuing to flesh out the example panoplies; I intend to add a section for example followers, as well as one for example Marks of the Beast. After that, I'll begin work on v0.4, which will introduce the first of the example settings, the Great Cipactli Empire - a decadent biopunk imperium built on the corpse of a slain titan, poised on the brink of social and economic upheaval.
